Fees & compensation

How I'm paid, in plain language.

You should understand how someone is held accountable and how they’re paid before you share anything about your finances. Here it is, plainly.

Advisory work: fee-based, and fiduciary

Investment advisory services are provided through Acrylic Financial, Inc., an SEC-registered investment adviser, where I'm held to a fiduciary duty — advisory recommendations must be made in your best interest, not simply what's suitable. Advisory services are compensated through advisory fees, discussed and documented before any engagement begins.

Insurance: offered separately

When insurance is appropriate, it's offered separately from advisory services and may pay a commission from the insurance carrier. I disclose that compensation when it applies — so you always know how a recommendation is paid for.

The first conversation: at no cost

There's no charge to talk, no obligation to continue, and no need to move any accounts or assets before you decide whether it's a fit.

What you can count on

No surprises about cost.

Whatever your situation calls for, you’ll know how it’s paid for before you commit to anything.

  • You'll understand how I'm compensated before you decide anything.
  • Advisory recommendations are held to a fiduciary standard through Acrylic Financial.
  • Insurance compensation, when it applies, is disclosed.
  • No account transfer is required to have a first conversation.
  • No pressure, no jargon, no obligation.

The specific fees for your situation are laid out in writing before you engage. Full details of advisory services and compensation are provided in Acrylic Financial, Inc.’s written disclosure documents (Form ADV Part 2A and Form CRS).

Questions

Questions about fees and compensation

How are you compensated?

Advisory services are offered through Acrylic Financial, where I'm subject to a fiduciary duty, meaning advisory recommendations must be made in your best interest. Insurance products, when they're used, are offered separately and may pay a commission from the carrier — and I disclose that compensation when it applies. I'll walk you through exactly how it works for your situation before you decide anything.

What is a fiduciary, and why does it matter?

On the advisory portion of my work, a fiduciary duty means recommendations must be made in the client's best interest — not simply what's suitable. It's the standard I'm held to through Acrylic Financial.

Do I need a certain amount of money to work with you?

The best way to find out whether we're a fit is a first conversation. It costs nothing and there's no pressure to continue.

Do I have to move my accounts to talk?

No. You don't need to transfer any assets or move any accounts to have a first conversation about your situation.

What does the first conversation cost?

Nothing. The first conversation is at no cost. It's about understanding your situation and whether it makes sense to continue from there — with no obligation to.
